Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the battery on this 1996 Chevy Tahoe. The only tools you'll need for this is a 13mm socket and ratchet with an extension and an 8mm wrench.
On the back of the battery, there's a hold down that's held in with a 13mm bolt. Just go ahead and remove that. Now, using an 8mm wrench, you just want to remove those two battery cables, and we'll fast-forward as Don does this. Now pull the cables out, and then lift the battery up and out.
Now lower your new battery into place, and lower hold down into place, replace that 13mm bolt, and tighten it up. Then replace your two battery cables, and tighten those up with your 8mm wrench. Then you're all set.
