In this video, we're going to show you how to replace your rear axle nut in the 2005 Cadillac CTS. Here are the items you'll need for this repair.
Using a 45-degree pick, remove the center cap in the wheel you're going to be working on. Using a 35 mm socket and a breaker bar, break the axle nut loose. These have quite a bit of torque, so you may have to step onto the breaker bar to get them to move. Once it's loose, finish removing the nut.
Install your new axle nut, tighten it back up, and torque it to 118 foot-pounds.
