Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the antenna base on this 2005 Ford Focus. It's the same part and similar process on these Focuses from 2000 to 2007. The items you'll need for this are a new antenna base from 1AAuto.com, flat blade screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, and a T25 Torx driver.

Typically you're replacing the antenna base because your antenna was in bad shape and you went to remove it and the stud just breaks off in the antenna as you twist it off. As you can see right here, the stud's missing. To remove these, you just start off by prying out this light. You pry from the front and then the side. Then you want to remove these two Phillips screws. Now, using a T25 Torx driver, you want to just loosen up the wire that goes to the antenna. That screw won't actually come out, but you'll be able to pull it free, once you've loosened it enough. Then you can just pull the antenna base up and off.

On the right, is the old antenna base. On the left, is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they'll fit exactly the same. Clean off the area and push your antenna base into place while having the T25 Torx driver up through that wire. Then just start twisting it back into place. Once it's tightened, twist your antenna into place. Then push this bracket back up into place and tighten up those two Phillips screws. Then push the back of the light up first and then the front and you're all set.
