Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a mass air flow sensor on this 2004 Ford Crown Victoria with the 4.6-liter V8 engine. The only tools that you're going to need for this is a 10mm socket and ratchet and a flat blade screwdriver.
Your mass air flow sensor is located right here. You want to disconnect the harness by just pushing on the tab and pulling it free. Then flip both of these clips up and loosen this hose clamp with your flat blade screwdriver. You want to move that hose free, pull these clips back, push the top of your air intake box away from you and then up, and pull it free from the hose.
Now, you want to remove these four 10mm bolts on your mass air flow sensor. Take your new mass air flow sensor and line it up on your air intake box and replace those four 10mm bolts. We'll just fast-forward as Don does this.
Now, you want to line up these slots with these tabs, but first push your mass air flow sensor into the hose, line the slots up with the tabs, pull the top of your air intake box forward, and then re-clip it. We'll just push down those clips to lock them, then tighten up that hose clamp, reconnect your mass air flow harness, and you're all set.
