In this video we're going to be working with the 2004 Ford Crown Victoria 4.6-liter V8. We're going to show you how to remove, inspect, and replace your vehicle's air filter, which is an important maintenance item that keeps the air going into the engine clean and flowing well.

Your engine air filter and air box are located at the front driver's side of the engine bay. Disconnect the mass airflow sensor. Just to be safe, they usually give you enough wire on these that you can open the air box without stressing this cable, but it only takes a second to disconnect, it's better to be safe than sorry.
Pop up the two clips that keep the lid down. Lift up, then push down and in to release it from its hooks, and remove your air filter. Now this one's not terrible. You can see it is a little dirty. We’re going to change it anyway since we have a new part.
See, it's the same air filter, nice and white and clean. Just drops in. Push the air box in and down, then pull back to set it back onto the hinges. Close the lid, and engage the hold downs, then reconnect your mass airflow sensor.
