Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we show you how to take out and put back in the air cleaner/engine air cleaner on this '96 Ford Ranger. It's the same as any '93 to '97 with a 3.0-liter. No tools are required.
Under your hood, right here, is the air cleaner. You just pull up on this clamp. Push this clamp down and take it off. Pull this out and up. There's your air cleaner. It comes out.
To reinstall, just make sure it goes in well. Put this down. Put your clamp up and around. Before you latch this down, you can see that there's a little nub here. There's another one of those all the way in the bottom. You need to make sure that your clamp you can feel down and feel that one down there make sure your clamp is over it. Lock it on together.
