In this video we're going to be working with our 2008 Chevy Equinox. We're going to show you how to remove and replace the overhead sun visor. We're doing this on the driver's side. However, the process will be the same on the passenger side. If you like this video, please click subscribe. We have a ton more information on this and many other vehicles. If you ever need parts for your car, you can follow the link down in the description over to 1AAuto.com. Here are the items you'll need for this repair.
Fold down your sun visor, and remove the two Phillips head screws over on the door side. Once the rear is unscrewed, simply pop it out of the front retainer. To remove the entire assembly for your sun visor, there's another Phillips head screw in the back of the clip toward the middle of the vehicle. Loosen and remove that as well.
To make reinstallation easiest, go ahead and install that screw into the bottom of the sun visor clip first, and hold it in there with your screwdriver. There are little channels in there which help hold this straight. Push it up into place, and tighten that screw back down. Clip the visor back into place to help hold it. Line up the rear. Reinstall your two Phillips head screws. Once everything's tightened into place, you're good to go.
