Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video we're going to show you how to remove and reinstall a rear door panel on this 2007 Audi A4. You'll need a 10mm wrench to disconnect the battery, and then a Phillips screwdriver, a small flat blade screwdriver, and you may also want to have some glue handy if you need to put some of the clips back in and then get them to stay, and we do this on the passenger rear door. The driver's rear door is the same procedure.

Disconnect your battery. On this car there should be a panel on top that you take off a couple of fasteners and lift it up and off. Then a 10mm wrench, loosen and remove the battery cable.

Either use a flat blade screwdriver, or you can just kind of reach back here and pull this trim panel off. Just pull it straight out and work your fingers under, and then it comes forward at the back. Four screws hold it in. There's one up under here and then one here, here, and here. A Phillips screwdriver will remove those. A little difficult. Sometimes you just have to feel for the screw once you have the right angle. There it is. We'll just fast-forward as we remove those fasteners.

Then just reach underneath. This ones not even clipped in. You should reach underneath and pull and they'll pop out, but obviously this door panels been off before so it just comes off. There are clips at the top. Then you should just be able to pull it right up and off.

Pull the door panel out and then your door handle cable here, just pull it out of the clip and then just unhook it. On the speaker there are two tabs that you push in, and then on this there's a tab on the backside that you have to push really firm with your finger and pull down. If any of the clips come out when you remove the panel, helps to use just a little glue and glue them back in.

Re-installation: reconnect your speaker harness, the module harness. Again, that clip goes towards the back. Bring the panel up, reconnect the door latch cable. Just hook it in and then push this in to place. This protrusion on the door panel goes into this grove, and then this hooks over there so just lift the panel up into place. Hook the front in. Push it against the window and down, and then lock these two top hooks in and then all the rest of the clips.

So we're going to re-install the screw. Getting this one up in there is a little tricky so I'm just going to take a little bit of glue. Put just a tab on the screw. Put it on the screwdriver. That just makes it that much easier for it to stay on the screwdriver, and then you've got to try and put it up there in the right angle. Hopefully you find the hole the first time. And we will just fast-forward as we tighten up those fasteners. Then this hooks into the back. Just make sure all your clips are in place. Sometimes these will pull out. Sometimes they'll pull out and get stuck on the clip. Just pull it off the clip and push it back into the door. Clip that in place. Peak in behind. Make sure they are all going into the right hole.

Reconnect your battery. Tighten it up with a 10mm wrench and then re-install the panel that should be there.
