Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to remove and reinstall a rear door panel on this 2003 Nissan Maxima. Pretty much the same for any Maxima as well as the Infinity I30. Only tools you'll need are a small flat blade screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, and either a door panel clip tool or a putty knife. We show you the left side, the right side or passenger side is the same procedure.

To start use a small flat blade screwdriver right down in this pull cup. There's just a little cover. Pry it and twist and you'll see a Phillips screw right here. Okay, now we come over here, pry up and out on this bezel, then you push it down, pull it out back, and come up front, up from here, down, the bezel comes off. You can see it just basically has a little holes here that attach on there. Now use a Phillip's screwdriver and we remove this screw. Go back to your small flat blade screwdriver under here, pry it gently under here. Okay, this comes up and out then there's just a little button on this connector to push in with the flat blade screwdriver and pull it off. Now you'll need a putty knife or door panel clip tool. Come right under the center, put it up, just slide it over there's a clip, and pull out nice and firm. Okay, then you'll need to just slide your fingers around the edge and pull nice and firm. Get all the clips out and your door panel should lift right up.

Okay, my weatherstrip kind of pulled away from the door panel a little bit. I'm just going to bend these tabs back, put down all the way, and bend the tabs back on the back side. Now put your door panel back on. Make sure it's right up against the window. Slide that down into place and just make sure that you pull this back up and it rests on top. Push this insulator back in and then, if I work on the door panel, just make sure it goes around the outside of the handle. Activate the clips, let's pull your harness up through, plug in, that's the right way. Plug in the switch, slide this in place. That goes down in, the Phillip screw to hold it. This trim bezel here snaps back on. Okay, and then this little button just goes back in place here.
