Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
Tools you'll need are a Phillips screwdriver, a T20 Torx driver, and probably a flat blade screwdriver as well as a household putty knife or door panel clip tool.
Use a regular screwdriver, pry up on the front of this panel here and that should come up and forward, mine's been broken so, and then underneath there is a tab that you press and disconnect.
Now you need a T20 Torx bit and there are screws up underneath here. The screws in this were T20 although your car could vary, it could have Phillips head screws in it. Then this pulls out and then there are Phillips head screws in behind here and a Phillips head screw in behind here.
Then, right in here, you'll see a little slot in the door panel carpet, and there should be a Phillips head screw right in there. It might be easy just to remove your lock knob. Use just a household putty knife, put it in behind here, and go until I can't go, and then pop that oh, that was a frog, that's interesting. It must have been some passenger's toy.
Do the same thing right here in the front. There are some more clips in the middle. Now that panel comes off. Now, there's a little harness here that you just pry up and disconnect and then there's your panel off.
You have to get these tabs through the plastic here, and then these longer pins are locating pins. Feed our harness up through, connect our courtesy light, make sure that harness is up and through. Make sure our tabs go through, make sure our lock rod comes up through. Let's see, there. You may need to guide two of our pins in, one fell out here. You want to pull the panel back, making sure the pins are going into the holes. The bottom screw in first, nice and long. Now these screws up here.
You can see the screws only go in a certain way and you obviously want them going from the bottom, so you want to make sure you have it the correct way. Feed it in. I'm going to speed it up here a little bit. Now I do struggle with this, you basically have to push in on the strap and then get the screw up in there and get it to hold correctly. It just takes a couple of tries, a little trial and error.
