Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we show you how to remove and re-install the rear door panel on this 2003 Saturn Ion. Same as any '03 to '07. The only tools you'll need are a flat blade screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver. A door panel clip tool or a putty knife will help as well.

There are two screws right down in there, Phillips, and then on the back, there are two clips, there and there. You pry underneath and pull the middle of the clip out and pull it out. I will fast forward as I start to remove those screws. Once you loosen these screws up, then pull up on the cup. It comes out. You'll want to get your screws out.

For this connector, you need to press on a tab, and pull here on the side. You might want to use a flat blade screwdriver. Push up and in on the tab at the same time. Disconnect that.

Use your flat blade screwdriver again and pry out on these clips. The middle will come out and then the clip will come out. Then, here, the middle came out and actually the whole clip came out. It's held on by clips on the side. Basically, if you can get under there, maybe use your screw driver a little bit and get under the corner and pull out.

Mine came off a little easy. It's probably been off before. One of the clips is still on the door. If you have a clip that stays behind, use a door panel clip tool. This is really the right tool for the job. That takes the clip right out. You could also use two screwdrivers. Take the clip and just slide back into this slot.

Put the door panel back on. Just put it up and press it against the window. Make sure that the window weather strip goes back down into place. There are alignment tabs that will hold it out if they're not correct. Now reach in here and grab this harness. Then make sure your clips are going in. You need to use a guide. Sometimes the pins just hit above the holes. Crouch down here. Just guide that pin in. Our new clips for the back are here. Just pull them half way out. Push them in, and lock them in. This one, put back together. Push it in, and lock it in. For the pull cup, make sure you reconnect your switch. Make sure the harness goes down below the bracket that holds this. Lock the front in first, and then push it down. Then put in your two Phillips screws. Speed it up here again as I put those screws in. I find it easiest to just drop them into the hole and then reach down in there with the screwdriver and start them in.
