This video will show how to remove the overhead console on the 05-16 Toyota RAV4
What's up, guys? I'm Andy from 1A Auto. In this video I'm going to show you how to remove this overhead console on this 2010 Toyota Rav4. If you need parts for your vehicle, click the link in the description and head over to 1AAuto.com.
All right, to remove this console, I'm just going to take a trim tool and try to get under here. There are some clips--just pull it down, and you really got to use a lot of force to pull this down. There's these pins that hold it in. Once you get it started and you can grab it, pull it down the rest of the way. Sometimes those clips get stuck in there. The connector is right here. Push down on the lock tab and slide it up. There's the overhead console.
Sometimes these push clips get stuck in here when you're taking this down. A lot of times what you do is you take a tool like this. We actually sell this at 1AAuto.com. Slide this on here and it just pops right up. It's real easy. We can reinstall this clip right here. Take the connector and slide that in. You can test the lights before you put it back up, just make sure that's working. That works perfect. Slide it in position and just lock it in place.
