Here are the items you'll need for this repair: 13mm socket, ratchet, marker

Disconnect the electrical connector for the under hood light. Put it up somewhere, so when we remove the hood it doesn't get jammed, caught, or broken. Since we're going to be reinstalling our old hood, I'm just going to take a marker and mark the edge of the hinges on both sides to make realigning it a little bit easier. Using a 13 millimeter socket and ratchet, remove the two 13 millimeter bolts from each hinge. You'll want to remove one side first and have a friend hold it up while you remove the other side, and then you can both take the hood off. Yup, once the bolts are removed, you can remove your hood and place something soft, like rags or paper towels under the bottom edge of the hood that's touching the ground to prevent it getting damaged.

Reinstall your hood with some help. You'll want to set it up, take turns with one person holding while the other gets the bolts started. Remember you have your mark lines under the hood to help you align the hinge properly. Make sure you're both holding your marks close to where they were, before tightening down the 13 millimeter bolts. Reconnect the electrical connector for your hood light. Carefully close your hood, to make sure that the alignment is correct. Everything looks good. Once your hoods closed, you're good to go.
