Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video we're going to show you how to remove and reinstall the front grille on this 2004 Chevy Colorado. It's actually a pretty easy task. You don't need any tools to remove the grille and bar assembly. If you need to separate the front chrome bar from the grille you will need a 10mm wrench or a socket and ratchet.

What you want to do is first come in here and disconnect both your upper lights and pull that out like that. On the other side disconnect, pull it up and out. Now you're going to have four clips. You see one right here. It looks like this has been apart already and some of them are broken. Most of them are broken actually. You see one here, there's one intact there, there should be one here and there should be one here. What you'll want to do is actually push down on these clips and they release. So you release all four like that. Then there are two clips on each side. You basically have to grab real firmly and pull. There's clips on the bottom, so I'm going to grab right here and pull the middle, pull, and then the side, the other side. I'll grab over here on this side firmly pull, and then the last hook is on the bottom here. Pull. You can see clips on the bottom here and then there're two clips on each side as well.

With the grille off, use a screw driver and then you see a little tab. Push on that tab and these lights come right off. To get this bar separated from the grille is fairly easy. There are a few 10mm nuts that you have to remove on each side and then that bar will come off.

Once you have it apart, you should be able to pinch these clips and pull them out or you can turn them to the side and pull them out. Then you put them right back into the grille. You just slide them right in, so that the tab is pushing through. To reinstall your grille, make sure these harness connections are up and out of the way and then put the grille in carefully. Line up your four clips up here and clip those right in. Let me peek down at the bottom here and push your three clips down there in, and then push your clips on the side right in. Last but not least, remember to reconnect your parking lights.
