Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we show you how to remove and reinstall the front grille on this 2005 Hyundai Elantra. It's pretty much the same for any 2001 to 2005. The grille in our vehicle is not damaged in any way, so we don't need to replace it, but we do just take it off and put it back on to show you how it's done. The only tool you'll need is a Phillips screwdriver, a short Phillips screwdriver. You may also need a small flat blade screwdriver.
Locate your plastic fasteners and the Phillips head along the top of the grille and remove them. We'll speed it up here as we take the rest of those fasteners out. As you can see, they're basically a little Phillips head, and you . hopefully once you turn it counterclockwise, the screw will come up and out. If not, you'll have to pry underneath with a small screwdriver or your fingernail, and pull up on the Phillips head. Once the center comes out then you can pull the rest of the clip out.
Lift the top of the cowl off. There are four Phillips head screws on the inside of the grille: two on the side and two over here. Then there's one more right in the center on the bottom. We'll just speed it up as we use a short Phillips screwdriver to remove those screws.
I'm putting the grille back in and reinstalling the five screws.
