In this video, 1A Auto demonstrates how to remove and replace the front interior door panel trim in a 01-05 Honda Civic.

step 1 :Removing the Door Panel
- Pull the triangle trim at the top of the door by the mirror off.
- Using a screwdriver pry the small door behind the handle, off.
- Pry the panel off, on the bottom of the pull handle.
- Remove the two Phillips screws under the pull handle.
- Remove the two Phillips screws behind the door handle.
- Pull the handle free and remove the harness and clip.
- Disconnect the switch panel harness.
- Pry the door panel off using a clip tool or putty knife. Go around the panel prying each clip.
- Lift the door panel up and off.
- Reinsert any clips that fall off.

step 2 :Reinstalling the Door Panel
- Run the harnesses through the door panel.
- Lift the panel up over the lock and snap down into place.
- Reclip the harness and door handle and snap the handle into place.
- Replace the door handle screws.
- Reconnect the switch panel harness.
- Replace the two Phillips screws.
- Put the door pull handle panel back into place. Back first.
- Replace the handle panel.
- Replace the triangle trim by the mirror.

Next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. In this video, we're going to show you how to remove the front door panel on this 2003 Honda Civic. We'll show you the driver side, the passenger side is the same procedure. It's a similar procedure for any '01 to '05 Civic that has power windows. Tools you'll need are a small flat blade screwdriver, a Philips screwdriver, and either a door panel clip tool or a putty knife to pry the panel away from the door.
With the door, start up here and pull it firmly on this piece of trim. Okay, a small screwdriver right at the top inside your door handle, there's a little indent. There's a small door that comes down. Okay, now use a screwdriver or just your finger and pull off this panel right here. Pull it firmly out at the front. It comes off. Then there are two Philip screws in here and right in here. Make sure to remove those. I'll speed up here as I remove those screws again just using a Philips screwdriver and get those out. Sometimes they don't come all the way out of the door. That's fine, just when you pull the door panel off, just watch where they might drop out and now do those.
Then there are two screws right in that door handle. Remove those. Pull your door handle out. There's a little tab on the back of your door lock switch. Press that tab, disconnect the clip that holds the door lock right on. Use a screwdriver or your finger. Push the clip off, pull that up and off then there's a little tab right here. Pull your power window switch. Press that and disconnect your power window switch.
Now, using your door panel clip tool, get right in behind here up until you meet a clip, pull it out, go around the clips. Pull your door panel up and off. While doing that, a couple of clips came off, just slide the clips right back in place. There and one down here. Take that off, the one that's here and move the harness there and put this up. Snap it towards the window and then lock that all the way around. With your door panel clip, pry this down and in and lock the clips on, connect your lock button and put the front end in first and into place.
Fast forward here as I put those two screws that hold the door handle in place back in, tighten them up firmly. Pull the harness up, we use two Philips screws. Speed it up again as I install the two screws that hold the door pull part of the panel in place. Put it back in first and snap it right on. Then the two little tabs go in the bottom, snap that in place and then put this through here and snap that in place.
