Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality auto replacement parts and the bets service on the internet. Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1AAuto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20 plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly, that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.

In this video, we're going to show you how to remove and reinstall the driver side door panel, just basically the same as the passenger side door panel on this 2000 S-10 Blazer same as the S-15 Jimmy as well and the trucks. Tool you'll need are pretty basic. Two flat blade screwdrivers, a Phillips screwdriver, a 7 millimeter socket and driver and a putty knife and a rag or a door panel clip tool if you have one available. You're just going to lift up on the front on the panel here. Pull it out like that. On the back side, you've got two connectors to raise. This one, this tab right here, you want to put a screwdriver in there and kind of pry it up that way and push that tab back and then pull that one out. This one is usually more difficult, probably use two screwdrivers. Put one in here and pry that way because this tab locks it. Then use your other screwdriver to pry up at this point right here. This one, put the screwdriver in. I'm kind of pushing on it a little bit with my hand and then you got to grab on really tight and really pull this connector. It's difficult to get out sometimes. Pull it up and out. This one, like is said, you want to pry there and then now you can see in there how that great tab is unlocked. I pressed it back down in and see it locked in. That's what you want to pry that out. Again, pry that up to this one to have it unlocked then grab hold to this connector and rock it back and forth.

The next one, you can either pry the connector and try to pull it apart or you can actually take the whole switch out by just kind of prying the little teeth that are holding it on each front and back here. Just pry one of them. Hold the switch out and pry the other one then you pull. The switch comes out. Then this last one, again, put your screwdriver down in and pry while you pull up on the connector. With that off, you're going to remove a Phillips screw from behind your door handle there and then two seven millimeter bolts underneath your arm rest and door pole. You're going to want to get a putty knife and you can also use a rag to help you not scratch the paint. Then you want to put that between the door and the door panel, kind of work it in between there and then slide it till you hit something. Then pull, slide it some more and then pull, a little change. Once you get your fingers under there, finish with your fingers. Lift the door panel up. One final pin up there will let go and the door panel is removed. The door panel has these pins right here. You want to hang it up on the door seal and then get the pins to go in. Okay. Now, we're going to plug everything back in. One at the front. Slide that down and in. This has a little tab on it there, put it on. Put in our screw and now these two 7 millimeter bolts. This one has kind of a slight angle. Push it a little bit until it goes in. Tighten t nice and firm. This one, more of an angle up. It will go in. Tighten it nice and firm.
