How to Remove Cowl Cover 2007-13 Chevy Silverado

1. step 1 :Removing the Wiper Arms 0:45

   • Pry up the wiper arm cover with a pick
   • Remove the 15mm bolt from the wiper arm
   • Press the wiper arm in and out to remove it from the splines
   • Remove the wiper arm
   • Repeat for the other side

2. step 2 :Removing the Cowl Panel 2:00

   • Pry off the side trim cover with trim tools
   • Close the hood
   • Repeat on the passenger side
   • Remove the 7mm bolt from either end of the cowl panel
   • Pry off the clip from either side with a flat blade screwdriver
   • Disconnect the wiring harness
   • Remove the 10mm nut from the cowl panel
   • Remove the push-pin from the cowl panel
   • Disconnect the washer hose on the driver side
   • Pull the washer hose out through the cowl panel
   • Remove the cowl panel

3. step 3 :Installing the Cowl Panel 5:18

   • Press the push-pin through on the cowl panel
   • Insert the washer hose through the cowl panel
   • Slide the cowl panel into position
   • Connect the washer hose
   • Tighten the 10mm nut to the cowl panel
   • Connect the wiring harness
   • Press the clip on either side
   • Tighten the 7mm bolts on either end of the cowl panel
   • Close the hood
   • Press on the trim covers on either side

4. step 4 :Installing the Wiper Arms 8:20

   • Press the wiper arm into place
   • Tighten the 15mm bolt to the wiper arm
   • Close the wiper arm cover

  15mm Socket

  7mm Socket

  10mm Socket

  Ratchet

  Trim Tool Set
