Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the third brake light on this 2002 Volvo V70. The items you'll need for this is a T25 Torx bit and ratchet and a flat blade screwdriver.
Start off by removing these four T25 Torx bolts that line this trunk panel. We'll fast forward as Don removes those. Now just pull down on the panel and it will release the clips and pull free. Then do the same to this top panel. Your third brake light is right here. You want to just push the tab on this harness and pull it free, and then push the center of this clip in, and then pry it out. Now slide the light to the left and pull the light free.
Take your new third brake light, push those tabs in, and slide it to the right. Then replace that clip, take the center out, and put it in through the top. Don't push it down until you push the clip back into place. Then reconnect the harness. Then line up the clips on this panel and push it into place. Do the same thing with this panel. Just hit those clips in. Now replace those T25 screws and you're all set.
