step 1 :Raising and Securing the Vehicle
- Jack underneath the frame lip
- Place Jack stands underneath the frame lip
- To raise both rear wheels, jack underneath the pinch weld at the rear
- To raise both front wheels, jack underneath the pinch weld at the front
- Alternatively, jack underneath the aluminum subframe
- Alternatively, Jack underneath the control arms
- Place Jack stands under the pinch welds
- To raise both front wheels, jack underneath the aluminum crossmember
- Place jack stands on each side of the crossmember

If you're looking to lift up your Monte Carlo, there are specific places to raise it. You want to put the jack anywhere underneath. This raised lip is actually a cut out right here where you can put a jack. You can see ours is further back just because our lift is a little larger. You would want to lift it up here and then support it with a jack stand a little further forward.
If you wanted to raise both tires at the same time you can just come right under the middle and put your jack right under here. Raise it up and then put jack stands on each side underneath the pinch weld.
Going to the front, it's the same thing. You can see this car is actually a little bit rusty so my lift is going right up into the body. There's a pinch weld here that you can support it with. You could jack it on this aluminum subframe.
You could also place a jack underneath the control arm to raise it up, and raise it up and then put the jack stand underneath the pinch weld. If you're looking to do both at the same time you could raise it by putting a jack underneath this aluminum bar that's going across. Do not put it under the transmission pan or the oil pan. Again, like I said, you could raise it up underneath here and then support it with jack stands on each side.
