Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
As you can see I got the minivan up on the lift. At each corner, there is, if you look underneath, you'll see the molding. Then you'll see basically cut outs in the molding. Then, in the pinch weld, there are two further cut outs in the metal. That's where lift supports go. If you're putting it on a lift, that's where you'll want to put the lift. You can see better maybe here. You can also use a floor jack and jack up these points.
At the rear, if you want to lift up one wheel, you can lift up right underneath these control arms. This is on the passenger side. Lift up here and then place your safety stand underneath the body there same thing on the other side. You can use a jack underneath this control arm safety stand on the side. You could if you want to lift both rear wheels at the same time. You can lift right under here, and then put the safety stands on each side. Front, again, same thing. You'll see the cut outs.
That's where you want to put a floor jack if you're jacking onto the body. If you're jacking underneath the vehicle, better to put a jack here underneath this steel rather than the aluminum control arms. You can jack underneath the steel. Just kind of come out here from the front. Go underneath. You want to jack under here, you don't want to jack underneath your engine or your transmission at all but you can place a jack right under here where this body connects to the control arm. Again, safety stand under there, same thing over here. Jack underneath where the body connects with control arm and safety stand over there.

No video for your specific vehicle? No problem! See how to replace a brake caliper in general terms. The process is very similar for most modern cars!
