Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
Okay, so, you can see I've got my Regal up on a lift. These cars are designed to put a jack stand right under here, under this reinforced part of the rocker. A lot of these cars have rust issues back in here. You can see this car starting, so an alternative is to put it under where the control arm connects in here. You can put it either here or under here. You can also, on these vehicles, jack up right underneath this control arm right under here. Put a jack there. Lift it up, and then put the safety stand under here while you're working on it. It's the same thing on the other side.
Then in the front, just like the back, it's reinforced right here. Just in behind, on the body, that's where you want to lift it. You can also lift anywhere under the carriage and also the control arms. Let me go look at this from the front. It's okay to put a jack underneath the engine carriage as well as a jack underneath the control arms and then put your safety stands there. It's the same thing on the other side.
