How to Perform Oil Change 2011-17 Toyota Camry

1. step 1 :Removing the Oil Filter 0:33

   • Remove the oil fill cap from the engine
   • Raise the vehicle on jack stands
   • Have a drain pan ready
   • Remove the oil filter cap with a 3/8" drive and extension
   • Let the oil drain
   • Insert an oil filter removal tool to the oil filter housing
   • Remove the oil filter and oil filter housing with a 3/8" drive and extension or 27mm socket
   • Remove the gasket from the housing
   • Clean the housing area with a rag

2. step 2 :Draining the Oil 3:20

   • Have a drain pan ready
   • Remove the 14mm bolt from the drain
   • Drain the oil
   • Remove the o-ring from the drain plug
   • Apply the new o-ring to the drain plug
   • Twist on the 14mm drain bolt
   • Tighten the bolt with a 14mm wrench or socket and ratchet

3. step 3 :Installing the Oil Filter 8:48

   • Place a new o-ring around the oil filter housing
   • Place a layer of oil around the rim of the oil filter threads and o-ring
   • Twist the oil filter and housing into place
   • Torque the housing to 27.5 newton-meters
   • Place a new o-ring to the end of the oil filter housing

4. step 4 :Servicing the Engine 14:12

   • Place a funnel into the oil fill
   • Replace the oil to the recommended amount
   • Replace the oil cap
   • Start the vehicle
   • Let the engine run for for a minute or two until the oil light turns off
   • Turn the vehicle off for five minutes
   • Check the oil level with the dipstick
