How to install the towing hook on a 2016 Subaru WRX
All right, so we're going to show you where this towing eye goes. It's in here, and it's stored in here in the trunk in the spare tire, so if the car needs to get towed on a flatbed, they're going to use this to winch the car up on the flatbed. There's a little cutout in the bumper here. Take a small flat-bladed screwdriver. Just carefully pull it out. It's got a little tail on it so it doesn't get lost. There's a hole in there that matches these threads.
You're going to thread it in just like that so if the car needs to get pulled onto a flatbed, they can hook onto here and pull your car up. There's also one at the front of the car. If you need to install the towing eye on the front of the car, go over here to this little cap with your flat-bladed screwdriver. Gently pop it out. It's got a little tail so it doesn't get lost.
Towing eye is going to go in the hole. Just thread it in 'til it's tight. Now the car can be pulled onto a ramp truck or pulled out of wherever if you need to be towed out.
