How to Install Replace Rear Hatch Lift Gate Strut Supports 1996-2004 Nissan Pathfinder

We're gonna take this lift gate strut out, before we do that you wanna have someone hole the lift gate for you, or have something to support it

To start I'm gonna take a 90 degree pick, and there's a little lock tab in here, so slide it in that slot, pull this little lock out, and that will slide off like that. Then, up top here, I'm gonna use a ten millimeter socket and extension in a ratchet. Take this bracket off. Once I get these kinda loose I can do it with my hands. And there's the lift gate strut.

Now we're gonna install the lift gate strut, and take the ten milometer bolt, get that one started. Then, grab our other ten millimeter bolt, get this one started. I can snug these up, and use the ratchet, just snug it a little bit tighter. Alright. To get this on just line this up and push it on. Now we can remove our support. Close the lift gate.
