Flat Blade Screwdriver

Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
All right, open this big hatch on the Prius. It's got two lift struts. These can get weak over time, especially when it's cold out. We're inside, so they're working all right, but we're going to show you how to replace them. You're going to want to have somebody to help you hold this up, because as soon as you undo one of those, it's going to want to drop.
It does take two of these to lift this large thing. To unlock this strut from the hatch, we're going to use a flat-bladed screwdriver to pop the lock up. Go from the bottom. It's going to be on here pretty tight. Once you pop it up like that, then it should pull right off.
We're going to get somebody to help me hold this first. The bottom will be the same exact way. It's a little harder to see, but we can pop this off now, just like that. I'm going to have someone come in, help me hold up this hatch in order to pop this one off. Get the bottom one first. Pop the top one off.
Grab our new one. Push it on, just like that. Push the bottom on. We will repeat this for the other side. Ready? Pop this off. Got that one out. Pop our new one on.
