What's up, guys? I'm Andy from 1A Auto. In this video I'm going to show you how to install this insulation on this Jeep Wrangler. It's a 2015. This is going to help make it quieter going down the road. It's going to be cooler in the summertime and warmer in the wintertime.

If you need these parts or other parts for your vehicle, click the link in the description and head over to

To do this install, it's easiest to remove the top, but it's not impossible to do it with the top on. You are going to need to clean this with the alcohol wipes that come with the kit--then you can take off the tape on the back side of this and slide it in here. That's how the sides would go on, and then you have to put pressure all around there. With this piece, the same underneath here. Slide that in position there, just like that.

This is the part that's actually hard--why we need to remove the top. These speakers right here, it's going to be hard to clean underneath there and actually put pressure, so what you would want to do is clean with the wipes first and then slide this piece in. Slide that there, and then put some pressure, and it's going to be hard in that corner to put that pressure, so we're going to pull the top off. We're going to remove the top now. There's a link to that video in the description.

All right. So, we got our top on the ground. We put it on some blankets. Make sure you put it somewhere where it's not going to scratch. Put it upside down. It's a little bit difficult with the rear window, so just make sure you put some blankets underneath that, and be careful when you put it down. If you have this closed, you want to be careful because it could just swing open and you could break the glass, so it's better to have it open and just be extremely careful.

I'm going to start with this panel in the front right here first, and before I do that, I am going to take some of these alcohol wipes that it comes with. I want to look at where the tape is going to tape it to the top, and I want to wipe all that area. Just take this little wipe and go around the perimeter first. This wipe's not very big. They give you a bunch of wipes, though, so that's good. Just take a look at that. All right, grab another one, and I'm going to wipe this area here right here and right here.

This is the hard part right in this area. If you were going to leave the top on there. You're really going to have a hard time getting to this area with where those speakers are. All right, that's pretty good.

At this point, we're going to take all this tape off the back of the covers. Slide that off, and throw this stuff away. The double-sided tape will stay. All right, with that all off, make sure it's lined up properly. I'll start with the back--make that line up. Good there. That looks pretty good. Then you want to push down on this all the way around.

In the directions it says, push 20 pounds of pressure on it, which I don't know how you're going to measure that, but do your best. You could probably take a scale, and put a scale on here and push down. I don't know if that will work either. There you go. So, we get that all down, and we're going to do the same with the other ones.

All right. Now that we got those on, we're going to reinstall this top and then we'll get to the front two pieces after. Now we're going to install these front pieces, and then we're going to take it for a ride and see how it sounds.

All right, so we're driving the Jeep with the new insulation in. It actually sounds a lot quieter in here. Normally it's pretty loud when you're going over bumps and stuff and just driving around. And it actually feels a little bit warmer in here. It is spring time and it's a little chilly out, but with the heat on it seems like it's retaining the heat a little bit better, so we're good to go.
