It is a pretty easy process, but this video is for those who don't know and are worried about cracking their dash. The only tools you'll need are an 8-millimeter wrench or socket with a ratchet and a Phillips screwdriver.
First your dash pad is held in by six 8-millimeter screws right up underneath on the front edge and next to the steering wheel, so we'll remove those real quick, and they should be this style bolt with the washer. Now you can see up near the frost vent there are 4 screws and these you want to be careful with. You can see probably in this one the screw has actually been punched through. These ones look okay and that one's missing. My dash is cracked so I'm not that concerned with it, but if you have a good dash pad you want to be very careful not to crack it and what I suggest is try each screw and if they seem to come out with no problem, take them all the way out but be careful if you see the vinyl starting to expand and the washer on the screw may be caught underneath.
If you have that happen what you want to do is take out the ones that come out clean first, and then as you're pulling that one out pull the dash out at the same time. For example, this one should come out pretty clean it looks like. Okay, and I'll fast forward through taking that one out. That come out clean. Now if this one is one where it was getting caught in the vinyl and you're trying to save your dash, you could unscrew it and pull the dash out at the same time. That way you don't possibly crack or tear the dash. Just a note on this here, I'm kind of simulating one that might not come out. There is a possibility that you could have two or more that don't seem to come out well and in that case basically what you want to do is take any out that come out cleanly and then just basically slowly alternate between the other ones and pull the dash up as you're pulling them out. Once you have those 4 screws out your pad comes right out.
