In this video, we're going to show you how to do an oil change on this 2002 Suzuki XL-7 with the 2.7-liter V6 engine. The items you need for this is a 17mm socket and ratchet, a drip pan, a rag, oil, and oil filter.

The oil pan and drain plug are located right here. Make sure you have a drip pan underneath. Using a 17mm socket and ratchet, remove the drain plug. When oil stops draining out replace the drain plug and tighten it up. Your oil filter is located just above the oil pan on the driver's side right here. Make sure your drip pan's underneath it and then twist it out.

Wipe up the area where the oil filter was and also wipe up the excess oil that poured out. Take some fresh oil and wipe it around the rim of your new oil filter and fit the filter back up into place. Just twist it in until it's tight.

Remove the oil cap and replace the oil. For us it was about five corks. Replace your cap. Start the vehicle and let it run for several seconds. After you run the vehicle, just recheck the vehicle and be sure you've filled the oil up to the proper level.
