2007 to 2014 Chevy Suburbans and GMC Yukon XLs are very versatile. Right now we're in 7-passenger mode. You've got three seats in the back, two captain's chairs, and possibly a full bench for a total of eight passengers. But what we'll do really quickly is show you how to go from seven passengers to almost a full-sized pickup bed.

Pull the rear seats out first and just lift up, and they recline like that. Then you just grab onto this handle, pull firmly, and they come right out. They're not heavy, but they're not light either, probably about 15 to 20 pounds. Same thing with the other one. They do have rollers, so they roll to here.

Then the second row: You may have manual or you may have automatic seats. Manual seats lift up, and this reclines. There’s a lever right here. Lift that up and push that forward. And with the higher trim level models, it's even easier: You can just press, and eventually, it pretty much does it for you. You might have to give it a little shove to get it all the way.

Now you have about 7 feet of floor space that you can use, even with the tailgate closed, and you can even put 8-foot 2-by-4s and things in here and use the tie-downs to secure them. And once you've used the cargo utility, put them in the left-hand or driver side. The headrest is going to be on the outside. They actually have little wheels, so they roll pretty nicely. Roll it to the side. It goes right in. And then we usually find they don't like to go back up until you just bring it up, put it down, and then it'll come up. And repeat that for the other side.
