step 1 :Checking the Windshield Washer Fluid
- Pull the hood release lever
- To find the hood safety, line up a ruler or tape measure with the eye of the hood, and measure nine inches to your right
- Once you find the safety lever, push up to raise the hood
- Remove the windshield washer fluid reservoir cap

step 2 :Topping Off or Adding Windshield Washer Fluid
- Pour windshield washer fluid into the windshield washer fluid reservoir
- Replace the windshield washer fluid reservoir cap
- Close the hood

Open the door. Over here—down near the foot rest—there's a little lever. Pull that lever. So, the hardest part about this is trying to find the hood safety. It's over in this vicinity, over here. What you want to do is take a ruler or a tape measure. Line it up with the eye and go over nine inches. And then grab underneath there, and then you're just going to feel a little lever, and you're going to push up. That's the lever.
To top off your washer fluid, or to check the washer fluid, the reservoir is right here. It's kind of a clear bottle. The cap—to pull the cap off, you're going to grab the tab right here. Pull it off. You can see it. It's not too low, but we'll just top it off a little bit. You're going to want to use a good washer fluid. You don't want to use water in here, especially if you're in cold climates, because then it could freeze. They make other kinds of washer fluids that help with removing ice, or other ones that also help with cleaning bugs off the windshield. Then, once you're done filling it up, take the cap. Just lock it down.
