Hi, I'm Mike from 1AAuto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years.

Hi everyone. Sue here at 1A Auto, and today we're going to be working on our 2007 Mazda three with a 2.0 liter. We're going to check the coolant level, how to fill it and check it properly at what temperature. If you need any parts for you car, head on over to 1aauto.com.

Hood release is located right here. Safety latch is right above the Mazda symbol. Right in the center. You just turn it over to the right, then you have the hood prop rod and you put it in where the arrow goes and says rod and then lock it in.

Here we have our coolant. This particular model, the radiator does not have a radiator cap on it. It goes all into this pressure overflow tank that is not just the regular, it's got pressure to it, so this cap, you never want to open it when the engine's been warm and been running for over 40 minutes. They'll be pressure buildup behind it. Check your coolant level. You can give it a visual. You have a max level and a minimal level, and this is right at the minimal level which with the engine cold is where it should be. If the engine was hot, it would be at the max. Anywhere in between is acceptable.

This is cold so I can remove the cover, and by doing that I just pushed down a little and turn it counterclockwise. If you feel it getting hard, it's not that it's not working. Usually, sometimes I find these caps with a plastic on plastic. They just have a hard time coming off. That is the radiator cap. That shows you the coolant. You would add it right into there.

That's where you would add your coolant. Tighten it down until you feel it snap. There's a little click right there. It's properly sealed.
