Created on: 2019-04-16

How to check the coolant level on 97, 98, 99, 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, Lexus GS300

  1. step 1 :Check Coolant Level
    • Remove the coolant reservoir cap located near the front of the engine bay
    • Hold your finger over the fill line on the outside of the reservoir
    • Check the coolant level inside the reservoir
    • Fill the coolant to the line if necessary
    • Use water for a small amount
    • Use Toyota specific antifreeze for more than a cup of fluid

Hey. What's going on? I'm Mike from 1A Auto. We're going to just show you how to check the coolant on this '01 GS300, same for '98-'05.

Once you open the hood, the coolant is right here. Pull the cap off, and there is actually a indicator on the outside. But what you can do is look down in, and you want to locate the indicator on the outside. You can see my finger pointing to it, and fill up to where my finger is or where the full line is. If you're just adding a little bit, you can just add some water. If you're adding anymore than a cup or so though, get Toyota specific anti-freeze. And then make sure once you add more, close that up.
