How to drain and fill your coolant on 2008 Cadillac CTS
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
Open the hood, pull the release. It's down here underneath. Release the secondary and the safety latch. It's over here. Squeeze it up. It's got hood struts.
Check the coolant. Just want to make sure the car is cool. You don't want to open this when it's hot, because you will have coolant spray out. It's under pressure when it's heated. It's just like a boiling pot of water. You got to be careful with it. So it feels nice and cool. I'm still going to be careful though, and just put a rag over it, and loosen it.
So the bottle's not clear. You have to kind of look inside, and the coolant level, it says full cold. It would be right about here. It looks to be full. So you'd add some coolant, if you needed to, the appropriate coolant to that level, and then when you're done filling it, we'll just tighten the cap back up, and you're all set.
