How to check brake fluid on 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 Cadillac SRX

  1. step 1 :Opening the Hood
    • Locate the hood release lever
    • Pull the hood release lever
    • Release the safety hood latch
    • Open the hood
  2. step 2 :Checking the Brake Fluid
    • Locate the brake fluid reservoir
    • Clean off the top with a rag
    • Open the cap and check the level visually
    • Top off with the appropriate fluid of necessary

We're gonna pop the hood. To pop the hood, right next to the kick panel, right here, there's a little lever for the hood. Just pull that lever. To release the safety, there's a little lever right here. You're going to push it towards the driver's side and lift it up.

Here's where our brake fluid is. You're gonna wanna wipe the top of the cap off with rag. You don't want any dust or dirt getting in there. To remove the cap, twist it to the left. You can top it off.

As you can see on the side, there's a minimum mark and a maximum mark. Ours is right in the middle, which is good. Reinstall the cap. You want to line these tabs up right there. And then lock it in place.

This vehicle requires DOT 3 generally it will tell you what kind of fluid on the cap.
