How to Change Turn Signal Bulbs 1996-2004 Nissan Pathfinder

How to replace a broken, damaged or burnt out turn signal bulb to the 2000 Nissan Pathfinder.

step 1 :Opening the Hood
- Pull the hood latch
- Release the safety latch
- Insert the prop rod

step 2 :Removing the Turn Signal Bulb
- Remove the 10mm bolt on top
- Pry the assembly out
- Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it
- Pull the bulb out of its socket

step 3 :Reinstalling the Turn Signal Bulb
- Line up the bulb
- Press it into its socket
- Turn the socket clockwise to lock it in place
- Line up the turn signal assembly
- Snug up the 10mm bolt

We're gonna pop the hood, grab the handle right there, pull it back to release the safety, come over here, I'm gonna pull up on the latch, come up, pull up on the prop rod, stick it right there.
We're gonna take this 10 millimeter bolt out right here, use a 10 millimeter socket, and extension, and a ratchet, pull that out. At this point, this light will come off, come straight forward. It looks like this piece has broken on this vehicle, but normally, you would have to pry a little bit harder to get this off. All right.
Remove the bulb, just twist here to the left to get the bulb off, just pull it like that. This bulb is a W21/5W.
We're gonna line this bulb up in the slot in the socket, just clip it in, take it back in. There's a larger tab on these two sides. You're gonna align that with the larger holes, and then click it in, and then if you had this tab, you could just line that up right there, and you have to press it in like that.
Take a 10 millimeter bolt, screw it in up here, use our 10 millimeter socket, extension, and a ratchet, and tighten it down. Put the prop rod down right there. Close the hood.
