Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video we're going to show you how to replace the taillight bulbs on this 1998 Honda Civic. For the inner taillight you're going to need a Phillips screwdriver and for the outer taillight you're going to need a flat blade screwdriver.

We'll start off by showing you the inner taillight. You need to just disconnect this harness by pushing in the tab and pulling it out. Then on the other side there's one Phillips screw. You want to just go ahead and remove that. Now you can just pull down that plastic cover and right here are your lights. You just twist out the socket. Pull the bulb straight out. Push your new bulb into place and twist the socket back in. With the other bulb, do the same thing. Twist it out. Pull the bulb straight out. Push the new one in and twist it back into place. When you're done, replace that plastic cover and the Phillips screw. Now, reconnect your harness.

Now to replace the bulbs on the outer taillight you want to start off by pushing in the center of this clip and prying it out. Then pull back your insulation. Now, you just twist the socket out and the bulb pulls straight out. Push the new one in. Twist the socket back into place. The bulb above it is the same thing. Just twist the socket out. Pull the bulb right out. Push the new one in and twist it back into place .If you need to replace the bulbs on the other side, it's the exact same process. When you're done fold the insulation back up into place. Tuck it in under that plastic panel and replace your clip. To replace it, just pull out the center. Push the clip into place and push the center in to lock it.
