Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to service the coolant on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. The only items you'll need for this are a drip pan and new coolant.

Start of by removing your coolant overflow bottle cap. The driver side front wheel: go underneath or in front of that. At the bottom corner of your radiator there is a thumb screw that is your radiator drain. Remove that, and, obviously, have a drip pan underneath. You're essentially draining all the coolant for your radiator. In order to do this fully or 100% you should probably do this twice over the course of a week. Really you're only getting about half of the coolant out of the system. A complete service is twice but if you just do it once every 75,000 miles or so you should be all set.

Now replace the coolant to the maximum fill line. Then you want to start the vehicle, let it run for a little bit and heat up, and let the coolant circle through. Then check where it's at and fill it back to the max fill line if necessary.
