How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a dirty, dusty or clogged air filter on 16 Ford F150
Pull out the hood release lever on the driver's side. Reach in and move the lever up and to the side. Lift up your hood. Check the air filter.
This vehicle has the V8 engine, but I imagine it's probably the same for most vehicles. There are just two clips: one here, and one here. The air box cover should pull up. Pull it up and forward a little. Remove the air filter.
It's never a bad idea to get a vacuum and vacuum out any remaining debris in the air box.
This is a fairly new filter. To reinstall the filter, just put it down and in. Make sure it's seated down in there correctly. Push the back down first. Put those tabs in, and make sure it's seated down. Secure those tabs.
