Jessica from 1A Auto shows How easy it can be to replace your own side mirrors
Hi my name's Jessica. I am a customer service support specialist at 1A Auto. I have very limited experience doing any sort of auto repair. I've done a couple of things, but today I did watch the installation on how to replace the driver side mirror of this Honda Civic. I'm not sure—it's definitely something a little bit more in depth than I'm used to, but I'm looking forward to doing it and seeing how smooth it goes. So, I guess we'll see.
Okay, so that was fairly difficult. I actually did complete it, though. I had to keep going back and referencing the video, but I did get it completed, actually in less than 30 minutes. Had I gone to the dealership, I probably would have spent my whole day there. The part itself is $60, and the labor itself is $120. Me going through 1A Auto, I purchased the item, it shipped out the same day for only $36, free ground shipping. I did the installation in less than 30 minutes, so now I have the whole rest of my day to do whatever I want.
I saved over $100, which that can easily go towards things that I more thoroughly enjoy, such as, eating and things like that. I'm definitely feeling a lot more confident now with the installations. I'm sure there's a lot more repairs that I need done on my vehicle that I've been putting off because I haven't been wanting to pay for it. But I'm actually looking forward to being able to do it myself and it's at a much lower cost. So again, thank you 1A Auto, and thank you for your how to videos.
