The package the product came in was damaged during shipping (part of the box was crushed in) and the product was defective when I installed it I to my car. I ended up buying a new one at a local store and that worked fine.

Although the item fit on the connection for the vapor line and the plug in, the actual mounting of the vapor canister purge solenoid would not lock in place. Had a tough time getting the original one off because it was locked in place but this one would not do that. All in all it works like it was intended to do so.

After replacing my gas cap three times. First an after market unit, then accidentally ordered a used unit, then an OEM and my check engine light still came on. I ordered this from you. It came on time and was easy to install. I was not able to clear the codes but I pulled the battery terminal and the light went off. It came back on a tank later but I repeated the process. I think this may well do the trick. From my lips to Gods ears.

Try taking the old part out and clean it inside with water pressure hose then fix it back on if it worked at the gas station then you are sure what is the problem.
