All right. Let's remove this panel. I'm gonna use a trim tool, take these clips out. All right. Take this panel off. Take this bolt out, use a 10-millimeter socket. And there's four of these twist retainers. Just take a Philips-head screwdriver and just twist it about a quarter of a turn. And there's another one down here underneath, and two over here as well. And just grab the trim over on the side. You're just gonna pull it forward. Just like that. It's clipped in right there on the sides. Do the same for the other side. And just slides right off.
All right. We need to disconnect these cooler lines from the cooler. Now these are pretty rusted, but just take a straight blade screwdriver. Try to get this cover off. Just be careful. Pry this down and there's a clip in here. You can use a pick. It's clipped in right here. Try to get underneath the pick, underneath the clip. Now normally, you wanna save this and reuse it. But in our case, we're gonna replace the cooler, so doesn't matter. Take that clip off and then you just take the line. Wiggle the line back and forth. This one's pretty rusty and you're gonna pull it straight down. And then you'll do the same with the other side. Now if your lines are this bad, you're gonna need to replace the lines as well. We're just gonna have to cut these. Now there's two push pins on both sides of the cooler. Just use a trim tool, take those push pins out. And take a 10-millimeter socket, take these 2 bolts out. And slide the cooler out.
Some of the factory brackets might not line up quite right. You may have to ream this hole out a little bit or use a stepper bit. Just make it a little bit bigger. Make the hole a little bigger, just like that. Now this is a updated design. It's a little bit different. There are some slots on the bottom of this cooler. Those slots are gonna line up with those holes. Take those old bolts that were mounted up there. Can use those down here. And tighten those down. Snug them up. Now take this little cover off here, if you have one of those, and slide this in place, and lock it in. Make sure it locks in all the way, if you had to reinstall that retainer there. And put the cover on. Take that plug off. Get this lined up. Lock it in place. Put the retainer over there. Cover.
All right. Take the grille and line it up. Get this lined up on the side. And just twist these. There's four of them. And take this bolt. Get that started. And tighten it down. And put this cover back on, and take all the pushpins. Put all the pushpins back in. After you're done, you're gonna wanna check the transmission fluid level. Start the vehicle, let it run. Pull this dipstick out, wipe it off. And there's two areas right here. This is the hash marks where the fluid level should be when it's hot, and when it's cold, should be down here. You can top off the fluid with the appropriate fluid. Get that information from your owner's manual and adjust accordingly.

Take this cover off, you want to take all these pushpins off, just use a trim tool. Pop the center part up, and then underneath the rest of it. Do the same with the other ones. Take this cover off. Take this bolt out, use a 10-millimeter socket. Now there's plastic retainers that hold the grille on, use a Phillips head screwdriver, and just push and twist, you only have to twist it a little bit. See how that's loose. There's another one down here. That should be loose. And over here. That's loose, and over here. That's all loose. Now just grab the trim, now you have to just pull it out over here. Now it's all those loose and just grab this panel right here. And just pull straight forward just like that. If you struggle with getting your fingers in there, you can pull the light out, there's just two pins, pull straight up, pull the light out. Do the same on the other side. Slide the grille right off.
Now, take these two lines off. Just take this plastic cover, slide it down. You can use a screwdriver or a pick tool. And then there's a little clip here, take that clip out, use the pick tool. Slide that clip out. Do the same on this side. And then wiggle these lines off. And slide it out and do the same for the other side. There we go. And take these two push pins out, one on this side, use a clip tool or a trim tool. Do the same over here, and take these two bolts out, one here, one here. Use a 10-millimeter socket. And slide the cooler right up.
Now the new cooler has a slightly different bracket than the original one. And this little slot right here is gonna go on this bracket and right here. So just slide that in position. Just like that. And then if this clip pops out or this pops out, just push it in with a screwdriver to get it to line up. And take the bolts that you took from up here, and put those in down here. And tighten those down. Snug them up. Now if you have these caps, just take these off, there was one there. And take the lines if the line goes up. Press it back in and take the cover. Push this over. Make sure it's secure. Just like that, and then do the same on the other one.
Take the grille, and just slide it in position, push these clips in on the side. Make sure all these line up. Take a Phillips head screwdriver and just twist these, and there's four of them. This just locks it in. All right, that's good. And take this bolt, put that starter and tighten it down. And put this cover on, line it up, and put all the pushpins in. Lock them down.
