  1. step : Disconnecting the Battery (0:27)
    • Loosen the negative battery terminal with a 10mm wrench
  2. step : Removing the Air Intake Box (0:41)
    • Pry up the seven body clips from the shroud cover with a flat blade screwdriver by pressing in the center and prying them up
    • Remove the shroud cover
    • Disconnect the vacuum line from the air intake tube
    • Loosen the 10mm bolts from the hose clamp
    • Remove the three 10mm bolts from the engine air filter housing
    • Disconnect the MAF sensor
    • Pull back the air filter housing clips
    • Disconnect the vacuum lines from the air filter housing cover
    • Lift the cover
    • Unclip the wiring harness from the air intake box cover
    • Remove the housing cover and the air intake tube from the throttle body
    • Remove the engine air filter
    • Unclip the vacuum line from its holster to the left of the air intake box
    • Unclip the MAF sensor from the air box
    • Pull the air intake box straight up from its grommets
    • Remove the 10mm bolts from the air intake dam
    • Set the air intake dam to the side
  3. step : Removing the Starter (4:25)
    • Pull back the boot from the positive cable from the starter
    • Remove the bolt from the positive cable with a 12mm wrench
    • Set the positive cable from the starter to the side
    • Disconnect the wiring harness from the starter
    • Remove the 14mm bolts from the starter
    • Remove the starter
  4. step : Inspecting the Starter (7:01)
    • If the starter's ground wire is corroded or broken, the issue is the starter
    • If a whirring sound was the cause and the gears are worn, inspect the flywheel
  5. step : Installing the Starter (7:58)
    • Insert the starter into place
    • Tighten the 14mm bolts to the starter
    • Torque the 14mm mounting bolts to 27 foot-pounds
    • Connect the solenoid wiring harness
    • Connect the positive cable
    • Tighten the bolt firmly to the positive cable with a 12mm wrench
    • Attach the boot to the positive cable
  6. step : Installing the Air Box (10:07)
    • Connect the air dam and the air box
    • Place the air box and dam in simultaneously
    • Connect the vacuum lines to the air box
    • Tighten the three 10mm bolts to the air box
    • Tighten the two 10mm bolts to the air dam
    • Clip in the vacuum line to the left side of the air box
    • Clip in the MAF sensor harness to the back of the air box
    • Insert the engine air filter into place
    • Connect the prongs to the top of the air box and seat it into place
    • Pull the clamps up to the air box to secure it
    • Connect the MAF sensor harness
    • Connect the two vacuum lines
    • Connect the air intake tube
    • Tighten the 10mm bolt to the air intake hose clamp
  7. step : Connecting the Battery (13:10)
    • Tighten the negative battery terminal with a 10mm wrench
    • Insert the front shroud to the radiator
    • Clip in the seven clips
