  1. step : Removing the Wheel (0:24)
    • Pry off the hub cap with a pry bar
    • Loosen the lug nuts with a 21mm socket and breaker bar
    • Raise and support the vehicle
    • Remove the lug nuts
    • Pull the wheel off the hub
  2. step : Removing the Brake Pads (1:06)
    • Remove the 14mm bolts from the brake caliper
    • Pry the brake pads into the caliper with a flat blade screwdriver to push in the pistons
    • Pull the caliper aside
    • Pry the brake pads off with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Remove the brake pad slides
  3. step : Removing the Brake Rotor (2:10)
    • Remove the 14mm bolts from the brake caliper bracket
    • Pull off the brake caliper bracket
    • Pull the rotor off
    • If the rotor will not come off, pry the adjustor wheel down to release the parking brake shoes
  4. step : Removing the Parking Brake Shoes (5:10)
    • Remove the brake shoe springs with the vise grip pliers
    • Remove the plate and spring
    • Hold the front retaining pin in place by hand
    • Twist off the front retaining spring with the vise grip pliers
    • Remove the brake adjuster
    • Hold the rear retaining pin in place by hand
    • Twist off the rear retaining spring with the vise grip pliers
    • Remove the rear brake shoe
    • Pry the emergency brake cable out of the front brake shoe
    • Release the clip from the e-brake arm
    • Remove the e-brake arm
  5. step : Installing the New Parking Brake Shoes (9:50)
    • Insert the new e-brake arm to the shoe
    • Clamp tight the clip
    • Pry the emergency brake cable into the front brake shoe slot with vise grip pliers
    • Clean the backing plate friction points with a wire brush
    • Apply white grease to the friction points
    • Lift the front brake shoe into place
    • Thread the retaining pin/nail over the brake shoe and e-brake arm
    • Twist on the retaining spring with vise grip pliers
    • Put the rear brake shoe into place
    • Thread the retaining pin into the brake shoe
    • Twist on the retaining spring with vise grip pliers
    • Put the adjuster into place
    • Push the brake shoes together by hand
    • Put the adjuster clip into place
    • Put the plate and spring into the shoes
    • Hook the springs on with the vise grip pliers
  6. step : Installing the New Brake Rotor (14:57)
    • Slide the rotor on
    • Clean both sides of the rotor with brake parts cleaner
    • Put the bracket back into place
    • Start the 14mm bolts by hand
  7. step : Installing the New Brake Pads (16:35)
    • Put an old pad in the caliper
    • Use a large C-clamp and the old pad to push the pistons back
    • Spray the brake pad with brake parts cleaner
    • Grease the brake pad tabs with brake grease
    • Install the new brake pads into the bracket
    • Put the caliper on
    • Thread 14mm bolts by hand
    • Tighten caliper bolts to 46 foot-pounds
    • Adjust the parking brake shoes by turning the adjustor up, until the shoes press the rotor but allow it to sping
  8. step : Installing the Wheel (19:00)
    • Slide the wheel onto the hub
    • Start the lug nuts with the tapered side facing the wheel
    • Tighten the lug nuts preliminarily
    • Lower the vehicle to the ground
    • Torque the lug nuts to 76 foot-pounds in a star pattern
    • Line up the hub cap with the valve stem
    • Push the hub cap onto the wheel
  9. step : Testing the Brakes (20:05)
    • Pump your brakes repeatedly until they feel firm
    • Test your brakes at 5 miles per hour and then 10 miles per hour
    • Road test the vehicle
