  1. step : Removing the Wheel (0:28)
    • Pry off the center cap with a flat blade screwdriver
    • Loosen the lug nuts with the vehicle on the ground
    • Insert a punch into the hub nut
    • Tap the punch with a hammer
    • Loosen the hub nut with a 12-point 30mm socket
    • Raise the vehicle with a floor jack
    • Secure the vehicle on jack stands
    • Remove the lug nuts
    • Pull off the wheel
  2. step : Removing the Axle (3:55)
    • Hold the rotor with a pry bar
    • Loosen the hub nut
    • Remove the 17mm bolts from the ball joint
    • Pry between the ball joint and the control arm
    • Undo the axle nut
    • Pull the axle out of the rotor
    • Pull the axle out of the transmission case
  3. step : Installing the Axle (8:56)
    • Insert the axle into the transmission
    • Tap the axle into the transmission
    • Maneuver the axle into the rotor
    • Thread the hub nut on
    • Pry down the control arm
    • Tighten the 17mm bolt and nuts to the control arm
    • Torque the 17mm bolt and nuts to 55 foot-pounds
    • Thread the axle nut on with the axle nut
  4. step : Reattaching the Wheel (12:30)
    • Slide the wheel into place
    • Start the lug nuts by hand
    • Tighten the lug nuts preliminarily
    • Lower the vehicle to the ground
    • Tighten the lug nuts to 76 foot-pounds in a crossing or star pattern
    • Tighten the hub nut to 217 foot-pounds
    • Stake the axle nut with a punch and a ball peen hammer
    • Reattach the center cap
    • Tighten the lug nut covers with a 22mm socket
