may be a dumb question, but how do you tell if you vehicle needs the steel or aluminum lower control arms?
RR R December 4, 2017
Thanks for your question! The easiest way to tell which you have is with a magnet. If it sticks, its a steel control arm. That is a very common question. Please contact with any other questions!
Adam G December 5, 2017
Use a magnet on yours, if it sticks it’s steel. If not then obviously it’s aluminum.
Justin E December 5, 2017
hello the lower control arm if tis aluminum it is usually gray and it is not heavy like the steel, usually steel are black and heavy when you take it out
Julius C December 6, 2017

Perfect fit
Ball joints and control arms fit perfectly. I had two grease zeros that had to be replaced because the valve wouldnt close and the grease came out the top
February 13, 2017
Worked fine
Old one had 184,000 miles on it. Factory ones were posted solid! Had to be cut out. New ones slipped right in, rides like the day it was new.
July 9, 2017
Products as expected.
No issues wth these parts. Unfortunately, I ordered ball joints for a steel lower control arm and not ones for aluminum. Make sure to check which ones you need.
February 14, 2018
Decent but...
Parts arrived quickly and at a good price. Parts were a good match for the original. Problem is one of the lower ball joints did not have the cotter pin or retaining ring, only an empty, sealed parts bag.
April 27, 2018
Good quality and price
I needed to replace the ball joints on my truck and a shop wanted to charge $1000. I found the control arm with balljoints upper and lower and it was alot cheaper. Received good quality parts and fast shipping!
May 3, 2018
Half of the kit was ok.
The control arms worked just fine. The lower ball joints did not fit at all and there was nowhere for the press tool to attatch and press in the new part because the rubber boot covered to much of the ball joint. I would not recommend the ball joints for this model.

Good quality product with great pricing
Ordered and received god quality products with great pricing in compare with lots of after market products. I am living in Canada and still was much cost effective products for me specially I had no border fee to pay. As well I appreciate videos you guys are putting online, it is very helpful for somebody like me with a little interest in doing mechanical stuff considering huge repair cost. In my town, dealerships are charging $200 per hour for labor while quality of their work is very questionable specially during this economy crunch time.

Perfect fit
I’ve ordered from 1A Auto before and this time was no different. The description and vehicle compatibility worked great. These parts arrived on time and fit just like stock. Thank you 1A Auto for all your help.

Great Product
I would recommend this product to my friends and family. EXCELLENT
