Part Details

  • Quantity:   Pair
  • Front or Rear Location:   Rear

In the past, replacing struts required specialized tools to compress, remove and transfer the old spring and mount.  Pre-assembled with all new parts, our complete strut and spring assemblies make this job much quicker and easier for the do-it-yourself mechanic.

Each complete strut & spring assembly contains:

  • Upper Strut Mount
  • Strut Bearing
  • Coil Spring
  • Boot & Bumper Kit
  • Gas-charged Strut

Loaded strut & spring assemblies allow for a quicker, safer install than bare struts.  No spring compressor required!

Trouble-Free Install

Includes the matched parts needed. New components over reused parts provide a better ride and save you from having to repair again.

Matched Parts

Not all shocks and struts are manufactured the same.  Mixing and matching can result in ride quality issues and decrease the life of the parts.

Saves Time & Money

Over buying the parts individually, or having to search different parts that are correct for your vehicle (because we did it for you!)

Rear Strut Assembly for 1997 Camry
Finished the installation today. Ride and handling is greatly improved. Some suggestions regarding installation: 1) 1AAutos video on the installation suggested using a vice grip to hold the bolt of the anti-sway bar link in order to loosen and tighten the nut. This is not necessary, as there is hex hole in the bolt for holding it with an allen wrench. 2) I bolted the strut assembly with the two 19mm bolts and then used a floor jack to pass the three top bolts through the body. 3) These top bolts are very difficult to access. I purchased a pass-through (spline wrench) socket set. It made the job much easier. 4) And one last thing, in addition to unbolting the ABS sensor from the strut, you also need to unbolt the u-shaped holder from the wheel well. Otherwise, you are very likely to break the wires to the ABS sensor and render it inoperable.

Attention to packaging
While the struts were fitting the job, a separate order that came with the package was scattered inside. Fortunately the spark plugs that I ordered were not damaged.

We have a few different aftermarket companies build these parts specifically for us, as our 1A Auto house brand. They are manufactured to the same OEM specifications as the original part that came with your vehicle. If you have any further questions, please dont hesitate to ask.

How do I know if mine are with or without electronic suspension?
Vu P June 17, 2017
It is best to call and talk with someone. I would guess there would be a sensor with wires if you had it, but I am not sure. I have a 99 Toyota Avalon, and I did not have it.
William W June 18, 2017
Electronic suspension usually have controls inside the vehicle to adjust them, or the shocks will have electrical connections. If you are unsure I recommend you contact your local dealership to find out.
