What are Tapered Bearings and Why Use Them?

Tapered bearings are better than roller ball bearings at handling forces exerted on the bearing during cornering (known as axial load) in trucks and large cars.

Roller ball bearings have spherical ball bearings between two straight rings (called races). Tapered bearings use tapered rollers shaped like flat-topped cones and two races angled from the outside to the inside of the bearing. The greater the angle, the more axial load the bearing can handle.

Your model came from the factory with tapered bearings. This type of bearing handles cornering forces better for trucks and large cars. Roller ball bearings work well for smaller cars, but replacing a tapered bearing with a roller ball bearing will result in increased wear and faster failure.

Our steering and suspension components come pre-greased, sealed for long life, and do not require the extra maintenance typically required by greasable versions.

Low quality
I ordered front suspension kit due to the price. I should have looked at other reviews before doing so cause they are exactly right. The parts showed up poorly packaged in torn up boxes. On top of bad packaging one of my cv joints wasnt there. I also received extra parts for a different vehicle that I didnt order. Customer service wasnt as friendly as they could have been but they did send the cv joint, which took another week and a half. I asked them to send me a return sticker for the extra parts but it never showed up so those parts went into the trash. All in all it took a little over 3 weeks to get all my parts luckily I ordered these parts anticipating them going bad. Now that Ive go the cv joints, wheel bearings, and tie rod ends on Im very disappointed by the quality. Ive only had them on a little over a month and the bearings are humming like they are going bad. I will never recommend this company to anyone other than to watch there how to videos.

Great fit and high quality parts.
I received these in well packaged boxes, these fit perfectly. The quality and price is incredible. I would recommend these to anyone that is wanting or needing suspension parts for replacement. All clips and fasteners lined up with factory holes perfectly on the hub assemblies. Came with torque specs also for the hub axle nut. Axles also fit with ease , not one issue with fitment. You can buy with confidence! Id like to add that Im hard to impress too.
