Everything in the kit worked great. I got it installed yesterday in a 2017 Ford Escape. The install took me about 3 hours from start to finish.
Customer Q&A
Will this plug right into the existing seat heater wiring of my 06 ram 2500?

Hey Eric, I bought this set a year ago and ended up returning it because of this. It's designed to plug into your car's fuse box (can't think of the correct terminology right now) and is wired there however you can make it work. when I bought it, I thought I could just replace the old heated wiring with these pads, but i found out that's not how it works. These are a separate system that can't be used with your existing heated seats. You basically would slide these under your upholstery over the old heated wires. I think it would rather be more worth it for you to buy new wiring from the Ram dealership to use with your current heated seat system instead of trying to wire this system and your old one together. I imagine that would require a bit of careful cutting and melting to make that work. Again, these were just my own thoughts on the product when I fully learned how they worked. I never ended up installing them.

Hello Ben. This heat kit is a universal unit, and you will need to wire it to the vehicle. It does not plug into the existing seat heating system. If you visit the listing of this particular part we do have a detailed install video that should show you exactly what this will do!

I'm sure that the plugs are NOT the same as what dodge has used. But don't let that stop you from installing this heater into your truck. The wiring for this seater is quite simple though. With s volt meter you should be able to determine the correct wires to pair up with your new heat heater.

This unit would NOT plug in to the harness that was installed at the factory on my 2006 SSR Chev. Also, after changing the connectors, the replacement required more amps and would not work on the stock circuit.
