How hard is this to install? Do you have to program your remote after installing?

This is not a remote start feature that you add to the vehicle, this is to remote start the vehicle such as a jump start. To use this you would attach to starter solenoid & depress button to jog or start engine.

Brenda, I'm not sure of what you need to know. This is a push button switch used for bypassing your ignition if the starter won't turn the engine over with the ignition key. It is used for trouble shooting when the starter isn't working with the key or if you want to be able to turn the engine over from outside of the vehicle if you don't have a helper to turn the key. If the starter will engage using this, that indicates that your problem is likely in the ignition switch and not your actual starter. This would hook up to the positive side of the battery and then to the positive terminal on the starter solenoid. It is "not" a starter if that was what you were thinking it was!
